The Meskwaki Settlement School plans to hold a CLOSED live graduation ceremony for immediate household family members to be held on June 27th at 2 PM at the school’s football field.
FOR PUBLIC SAFETY, ONLY THE STUDENT AND HIS/HER IMMEDIATE HOUSEHOLD FAMILY MEMBERS WILL BE ALLOWED TO ATTEND DUE DO SOCIAL GATHERING LIMITATIONS SET BY TRIBAL COUNCIL REGARDING COVID-19.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, graduates will participate in a parade that will go through the Settlement led by the Meskwaki Police Department.
Following graduation, the parade route will be:
The parade will start at the west end of West Village Road (200 block).
Line up on E Avenue.
Travel east on West Village Rd. to Hwy 30
Turn right and head East on Hwy 30 to F Ave (across from the casino)
Turn left and head North on F Ave to the North intersection of Northwood Dr.
Turn right and travel on Northwood Dr. to Red Earth Dr.
Turn left on Red Earth Dr. and travel to Hwy 30
Cross Hwy 30 to 305th Street by the Clinic
Turn right on 305th Street to Meskwaki Road
Turn left on Meskwaki Road to the first Springs Road intersection
Turn right on Springs Road passing 133 Springs Road
Turn left on West Quail Road and follow the loop back to Springs Road
Turn right on Springs Road back to Meskwaki Road
Turn right onto Meskwaki Road and follow all the way to E49
Left on E49 into Tama and then take a right by Casey’s onto State St. (Hwy 63)
Take a right on 2nd street and then take the next left onto McClellan St.
